About Dr Dimitri Dimitriou
Dr Dimitriou is an orthopaedic surgeon practicing from Busamed Lowveld and Nelspruit Mediclinic hospitals.
He grew up in Port Elizabeth and went to Grey High School before getting his undergrad medical degree from UCT in 2006.
Dimitri went on to do his internship and community service years at Tembisa Hospital in Gauteng before completing his orthopaedic specialisation and rotation at Wits University in 2015. He stayed on for an extra year at Charlotte Maxeke Academic Hospital to complete a fellowship in hip and knee arthroplasty. Dimitri now runs a private orthopaedic practice in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga.
Dimitri has been invited to attend many international training courses and conferences. He has also been invited to present at local conferences and meetings. He has been involved in several research papers in South Africa and has been published in an international journal for orthopaedic surgery.
Outside of his love for all things orthopaedic he is an avid cyclist, birder and wildlife enthusiast with his greatest love being his family.

repaired my toe and nail bed in such a way that I have never had any issues and I am back training at my usual program and pace. My overall experience from front desk to theatre was outstanding.
